Aria’s Story: ‘The firm truly has a fantastic culture that sets it apart from others’
September 30 2022Aria Yazdani reveals how his role as a Knowledge Paralegal at Bevan Brittan has given him a different perspective on the sector.
I have always wanted to enter the legal sector and, after I graduated from university, I started looking for junior roles to build my experience. I worked at a high street conveyancing firm for a few months, but then heard about the Knowledge Paralegal role at Bevan Brittan.
It is so different to my previous position, with a heavy research focus and an emphasis on answering lawyer queries across a range of specialisms and departments. No two days are the same. It is really interesting and challenging. Sometimes it can be quite specialist legal research, like investigating legislation, case law and regulations.
It is great to collaborate with different teams. There is always that sense that people are interested in and value the work you do and trust your input.
After working in a different firm, it is enlightening to come here and see how friendly everyone is. While there is a hierarchy of experience, I have the opportunity to work with Partners in an open and inclusive environment.
The firm has also invested heavily in the Responsible Business programme and supported Birmingham Pride, which I attended with some colleagues. It was a fantastic day filled with great company. The firm truly has a fantastic culture that sets it apart from others.
