National law firm Bevan Brittan today announces a trio of senior appointments.
Joanne Easterbrook has been reappointed as Senior Partner of the firm. Joanne became Senior Partner in 2016, and will now hold the post for a further three year term with effect from 1 May 2019 – the start of Bevan Brittan’s new financial year.
Joanne is a highly experienced partner and recognised specialist. She has led the firm’s Clinical Risk Department, is a nominated partner acting for NHS Resolution and won Legal 500’s Individual (London) award for Insurance. She has been a partner at Bevan Brittan since 2004.
After 14 years of leading the firm’s Clinical Risk Department, Joanne is stepping down from this role and Tim Hodgetts will become the firm’s new Head of Clinical Risk and will also become a Board member. Tim has been a partner at the firm since 2007, is based in our Birmingham and London offices and has had a senior role within the Clinical Risk team for a number of years, managing the firm’s relationship with several major clients.
At the same time, the firm is delighted to announce that Jodie Sinclair, Head of the Employment, Pensions & Immigration team, will be appointed to the Board from 1 May 2019 as an elected member partner. Jodie has twenty years’ experience as a specialist employment lawyer with a particular focus on health and social care providers.
Commenting on the appointments, Bevan Brittan’s Managing Partner Duncan Weir, said: “I am delighted that Jo will be continuing as Senior Partner. She has made a huge contribution to the firm in the role as well as managing our market leading Clinical Risk practice.
“My congratulations too to Jodie who will become a valued member of the Board, and to Tim who now steps up to become Head of Clinical Risk. As a firm, we have had another busy and successful financial year and these new appointments will stand us in good stead as we continue to grow the firm within our chosen markets and deliver high quality, pragmatic advice in partnership with our clients.”
Joanne Easterbrook commented: “I am very pleased to be continuing in my role as Senior Partner, where the focus is on ensuring that we deliver outstanding client care and in a challenging and supportive culture for all colleagues.
“I am also delighted to be handing over leadership of the Clinical Risk team to Tim who is an outstanding lawyer with a deep understanding of the market. I look forward to welcoming Jodie to the Board, her appointment is much-deserved.”
