Bevan Brittan has been awarded a place on Notting Hill Genesis’s legal services framework, following a competitive tender. This new client win means that the national law firm now advises the majority of the G15 members (which comprises the largest housing associations in London).

Bevan Brittan will provide Notting Hill Genesis with advice on corporate and governance issues, as well as treasury and finance.

Notting Hill Genesis is one of the largest housing associations in the country, with more than 67,500 homes owned or managed across London and the south-east.

Bevan Brittan’s co-head of housing Louise Leaver said: “Notting Hill Genesis is seeking to expand, and achieve a programme of 7,000 new homes over a five year period. Affordable new homes for lower income families have never been more in demand, and we are looking forward to helping NHG achieve its goals.”

“Our specialist housing team has an in-depth understanding of the sector,” adds Louise Leaver. “With expertise in related fields such as health, social care and energy, we are able to provide our social housing clients with tailored legal advice to help them navigate the challenges of evolving regulation and increasing pressure on budgets.”

The news follows several key appointments for Bevan Brittan in the social housing sector including to the Regulator of Social Housing, Hyde and Network Homes’ legal frameworks.
