Pensions partner becomes Bevan Brittan’s first senior recruit of the year

Leading commercial law firm Bevan Brittan has kicked off 2025 with a new partner appointment, adding further depth to its growing Employment, Pensions and Immigration department. 

Pensions specialist Joel Eytle is joining the business from DLA Piper, bringing 20 years’ experience of supporting organisations across a number of different sectors.

Joel advises on the full range of pension law and transactions and supports employers, investors, trustee clients and pension scheme providers. Having worked for two years at the Financial Conduct Authority, he also has an interest in the regulatory aspects of pension matters.

Based in the London office, Joel will be leading the firm’s highly-respected national pensions team. The experts work nationally for central and local government, independent health and care, NHS, commercial, insurance, housing and higher education clients, as well as private sector occupational pension schemes.

His appointment comes at an exciting time for Bevan Brittan, which made ten partner hires last year as it continues to expand its offering and meet increased demand from clients.

In addition to ten partner hires, Bevan Brittan also announced a record promotion round last year with five new partners among the 38 colleagues recognised. The business also recorded its eleventh consecutive year of growth across 2023/24.
