• I am an experienced employment lawyer advising clients on all aspects of employment law. My role entails drafting contracts, policies and procedures while providing day to day strategic and commercial advice to predominantly business clients within the private and public sector on employee issues. This ranges from advising on disciplinary, grievances, redundancies, enforceability of restrictive covenants, TUPE transfers and alleged discrimination and/or unfair dismissal claims for well-known clients in the healthcare, higher education, charitable, retail, manufacturing and commercial sectors.

    Having worked in house and with a range of clients of all sizes, I have developed an inherent understanding of clients' organisational needs by taking the time to understand them and how they operate so that support and advice is tailored to providing commercial solutions to employment law issues.

    I have a particular interest in business immigration and information law and advise on the varied commercial and employment implications in these areas.

    I regularly carry out internal investigations to resolve disputes during the investigation stage of disciplinary matters and have extensive experience conducting my own advocacy in employment tribunals to successfully defend employee claims.

    • I have acted on behalf of a charity to successfully defend a complex employment tribunal claims relating to employment status and discrimination claims, which took over 3 years to resolve via the Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunal system.
    • I have restored a private healthcare provider's A rated sponsor licence by making robust representations against the Home Office downgrading the licence rating and/or applying any other sanction (monetary or otherwise) against them.
    • I have been seconded to Volkswagen Group UK Limited's commercial team and extensively work with clients (many of whom are household names) as their trusted legal advisor.
