I am a banking and finance lawyer providing legal advice to lenders and borrowers including banks, local authorities, housing associations, NHS Trusts, JV vehicles, developers and care providers.
My experience includes advising on a variety of finance matters including debt and equity finance arrangements, PPP/PFI funding, housing and development finance, loan refinancing and restructuring. I specialise in structuring and financing housing and regeneration schemes involving a public private interface.
I have experience as a major infrastructure projects lawyer which enables me to provide cohesive funding advice across a variety of project types and sectors (including housing, education, health and energy) and am recognised by clients for managing complex projects to completion on budget and on time.

- Advising National Savings and Investment in relation to the launch of its retail Green Savings Bond as part of the government’s £15b UK debut sovereign green bond.
- Advising Places for People Homes on the delivery of a number of housing and retirement village joint ventures including its £210m partnership with Octopus Investments.
- Advising a Housing Association on the agreement of a facility with Natwest secured against solar FITS revenue.
- Advising the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham on the financing of the £150m “EdCity” regeneration development partnership with ARK.
- Advising the London Borough of Brent in relation to its debut £80m private placement.
- Advising the London Borough of Redbridge on its £70m public bond issue.
- Advising Sheffield City Council on the refinancing of its £367m “Streets Ahead” highways maintenance project and £124m Howden House PFI scheme.
- Advising Aviva Commercial Finance in relation to the funding of multiple PPP schemes in England, Scotland and Ireland.
- Advising Warrington Borough Council on the provision, management of and variation to loan facilities totalling in excess of £430 million to multiple housing associations.
- Advising Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust on the £261 million refinancing of the Bexley Wing of the St James's University Hospital PFI Project in 2017 comprising a mixture of bonds and notes.
- Advising Brighton & Hove City Council in relation to the financing of its £120 million joint venture with Hyde Housing to provide 1,000 new affordable and shared ownership homes.
- Advising a Bank of Ireland on a number of its PFI schemes including a voluntary termination.
