I am a commercial lawyer specialising in technology and data protection. I advise my clients in relation to outsourcing arrangements, IT transformation projects, all aspects of contracting across digital estates, and information governance arrangements.
My clients include a range of public bodies, including higher education institutions, central government, local government and authorities, as well as providers to the public sector.
Having previously worked both in private practice and in-house at a university, I have an in-depth knowledge of my clients’ commercial needs, as well as a particular expertise in the higher education sector. I advise my clients in relation to contractual arrangements across all of their digital services, and particularly enjoy working with my clients on new and innovative service delivery models.
I am also a data protection specialist and advise my clients on all aspects of data protection compliance, including the data protection aspects of their contractual arrangements, as well as wider compliance issues. I am the author of Universities UK’s sector guidance "Changing the culture: sharing personal data in harassment cases".
