I am a specialist in clinical negligence and medical malpractice. I am experienced in defending a broad range of claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, acting mainly on behalf of NHS Trusts in the South West and primary care clinicians, as well as medical malpractice claims on behalf of medical practitioners, independent healthcare providers and their Insurers. I act on a variety of claims ranging from complex and high value neurological, obstetrics or spinal injury cases to lower value claims involving cosmetic surgery, treatment and out of hours’ services.
I have carried out secondments at NHS Resolution, presented to NHS Trusts on consent, support the department’s audit function and supervise the team's trainee.
I joined the Health & Care - Resolution & Regulatory department at Bevan Brittan in February 2013, having trained at Henmans LLP and then joining DAC Beachcroft LLP on qualification in September 2001. Prior to joining Bevan Brittan, the majority of my workload involved defending personal injury matters on behalf of major Insurers and their Corporate Insureds.
