I am a commercial property lawyer in our Housing Development and Property team. I work for a broad range of clients, but have a specific focus on work for registered providers. I also act for local authorities, health care clients and commercial entities.
My work for registered providers includes acting on: site acquisitions / complex site assembly, the purchase and build of s 106 units under golden brick contracts, purchasing off-the-shelf units, the sale of surplus land and entering into deeds for the grant of easements across sites as well as generally reporting on and resolving title issues. I act for registered providers commercial teams, managing their commercial property portfolios: negotiating leases and surrenders of leases, granting licenses for assignment and alteration.
I also work for local authorities advising on, amongst other things, the property law aspects of service contracts and procurement.
Before becoming a Solicitor I gained more than five years' experience in the charity sector working for a major national charity and have extensive experience of the public and not-for-profit sectors, which I bring to my work for Bevan Brittan's clients.
