• I am an experienced regulatory and criminal litigator specialising in enforcement and regulatory proceedings brought by prosecuting authorities. I joined Bevan Brittan in October 2024 having spent over six years working on specialist prosecutions for both the Financial Conduct Authority and Crown Prosecution Service and am able to help clients navigate every stage of what are often lengthy and complex proceedings. I have a particular specialism in corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter investigations and am able to advise on every aspect of police investigations from the all-important initial strategy, issues of disclosure, co-operation with investigative agencies and interviews under PACE caution.

I also regularly represent clients, largely NHS Trusts, at inquests including those where Article 2 of the Human Rights Act has been engaged and where there is the prospect of a Preventing Future Deaths (PFD) Report. I take particular pride in working closely with witnesses to guide them through the process of giving evidence and as an experienced advocate work hard to advance my client’s case as robustly as possible within the Court room.

I am also able to advise on other areas of healthcare law such as the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Court of Protection proceedings. I am able to deal with a range of issues arising from healthcare settings, including commissioning responsibilities, best interest decisions and safe discharge planning.
