I specialise in defendant clinical negligence. I qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and have over 7 years’ extensive experience in defending pre-litigated and litigated claims predominantly on behalf of healthcare clients, originally in handling non-clinical complex claims and latterly in clinical negligence and medical malpractice.
My clients include NHS Resolution and UK Trusts and I have also acted for private healthcare providers, household name private hospital chains and large insurer clients throughout my career.
I advise clients on liability, causation, quantum and claims strategy, informed by an understanding of the sector in which those clients operate and the issues faced from both a commercial as well as a litigation perspective. I have experience in defending sensitive claims brought by litigants in person and also in circumstances where the Claimant is incarcerated.
Having assisted surgeons undertaking private medical work and clinicians/ corporates providing care in a variety of healthcare settings, to include prisons, care homes, mental health care providers, aesthetic practices and hospitals, I am experienced in liaising with witnesses with no prior claims experience and supporting clients through the litigation process.
Over the years, I have delivered training sessions relating to investigation of claims, data protection obligations in particular where records relate to service users without capacity, the litigation process and strategic considerations.
