I head up our Social Housing team in the North and have over 20 years' experience dealing with all aspects of property work, with 13 years specifically in the housing sector. I act for a range of housing associations in connection with development and acquisition work (whether through self-build or section 106 schemes) through a variety of structures (turn-key, golden brick, stage payments, back to back contractor led-schemes etc.), as well as advising on securitisation of stock portfolios and addressing title and other issues that affect security value.
Richard is strong at understanding pressures and deadlines. He absolutely understands client requirements, thinking of our longer-term needs too.
In addition, I deal with property-related aspects of a variety of finance and security work including traditional lending, bonds and private placements, assisting, in particular, with technical property issues and co-ordination of the work to ensure critical deadlines are met along with a wealth of experience of commercial lease and Landlord and Tenant issues.
Richard Stirk has an exceptional knowledge of development in a social housing context, and in particular his knowledge of grant funding arrangements is outstanding. He has an in-depth understanding of the sector, and his advice is always tailored to the specific needs of the client organisation.
