I am a housing management lawyer, specialising in all aspects of housing management litigation and advice. I routinely act for Registered Providers of social housing, including Housing Associations, ALMOS and Local Authorities. I assist clients with a wide range of matters including, injunctions and a variety of residential possession claims, including anti-social behaviour, subletting, non-succession, hoarding and fraud. I routinely deal with complex defences raised in such proceedings, including discrimination, public law and human rights defences. I also act for clients in disrepair matters including at pre-action stage all the way to a contested trial.
I provide complex advice to clients in relation to clients in relation to complaints processes, advising on immigration issues, threatened and issued claims under the Equality Act 2010. I also advise clients on shared ownership and leasehold matters, including dealing with possession and forfeiture proceedings.
I have worked within the Social Housing Sector for over 12 years’ and have worked with clients at all levels of their business from housing officer to Chief Executive Officer. I have a breadth of understanding and awareness of the challenges and concerns of Registered Providers of social housing and the wider sector generally.
