I specialise in local authority commercial projects and contractual law and have extensive experience providing strategic legal advice and support on high value and large scale projects.
Prior to joining Bevan Brittan I worked for a local authority for almost 10 years - the latter four of these working as Head of Corporate and Commercial and Deputy Monitoring Officer advising on key strategic and complex matters applying necessary political awareness.
My practice includes advising on all aspects of project delivery from negotiation and implementation as well as internal decision making to drafting of commercial contracts. I have experience of corporate governance law including advising on delivery models and specifically regarding decision making in relation to wholly owned local authority companies.
My in-house experience means I understand public sector client needs and provide politically sensitive practical advice drawing from my own past experiences within the public sector. I also hold the Law Society’s Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice.
