• I am a senior lawyer specialising in commercial litigation with over 10 years’ experience. I act on a broad range of commercial disputes for claimants and defendants including breach of contract, breach of restrictive covenants, professional negligence, shareholder disputes, defamation, harassment bringing and responding to applications for injunctive relief and general commercial debt claims.

    I have significant experience working across all sectors including IT and telecoms, energy and natural resources, financial services, healthcare and local and central government. My clients are from a variety of sectors, but include local authorities, government bodies, NHS Trusts, Housing Associations, financial institutions and private companies.

    I have substantial experience of various dispute resolution processes including settlement procedures and I have worked on disputes in the English High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Many of my cases are complex and high value and I have experience of disputes involving different jurisdictions within the European Union. I aim to help clients reach their goals in a pragmatic and commercial manner.

    • Advised on a £19 million settlement in respect of an extensive IT supplier contract.
    • Acted in the leapfrog appeal of JTI Polska Sp. Z o.o. v Jakubowski, before a panel of 7 Supreme Court Justices, which concerned the question of whether the Supreme Court should depart from the House of Lords' decision in James Buchanan & Co. Ltd v Babco Forwarding & Shipping (UK) Ltd. [1978] AC 141 and hold that excise duty payable in respect of goods which are stolen in the course of international carriage by road cannot be claimed under article 23(4) of the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road 1956 (the CMR Convention).
    • Acted for multiple investor clients with a claim against solicitors for the investment companies, including considering issues of client confidentiality and privilege.
    • Advised a local authority regarding the dispute resolution provisions on a large waste contract.
    • Acted for a group of shareholders in an earn-out dispute from pre-action to judgment, and which involved managing complex disclosure issues.
    • Represented a pension administrators against a firm of solicitors in relation to negligent tax advice.
