I am a construction lawyer specialising in non-contentious construction matters including drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional team appointments, surety documents and collateral warranties. Whilst I have mainly acted for private developers, I have also advised contractors and consultants, and I have regularly provided construction advice in relation to property acquisitions, disposals and financing transactions.

- Negotiated building contract, professional team appointments and ancillary documents in relation to circa £80million residential development in Manchester constructed over an existing four-storey subterranean basement structure that involved management contracting and design and build procurement.
- Advised employer and negotiated construction package for new flagship Travelodge hotel in London’s Square Mile with circa £35million value under design and build procurement.
- Advised on procurement strategy for tenant fit-out projects in leading newly developed Class A central London properties including negotiation of JCT contracts and professional team appointments, collateral warranties and ancillary documents.
- Developed contract variation incorporating digital ledger technology (“blockchain”) and smart contract parameters in respect of weather compensation events within the NEC contract framework.
- Advised developer and drafted and negotiated various contracts in respect of infrastructure, roadworks and residential accommodation for two community regeneration schemes in Hampshire for leading listed specialist residential landlord using NEC4 (Options A & B).
- Drafted and negotiated various trade contracts under construction management procurement for luxury hotel development in the west end of London.
