I am a Legal Director in the firm’s London Housing Team, specialising in the property side of social housing finance.
I have over 20 years’ experience acting for registered provider borrowers and banks and institutional investors on large scale portfolio funding and acquisitions. This includes giving advice and carrying out the due diligence on various funding arrangements including normal bank funding, bond issues, private placements, security trust arrangements, lease and lease-back arrangements, development finance and charging into pension schemes. I have also worked on complex refinancings as part of restructurings, stock rationalisations and mergers. I also advise on the suitability of mortgagee exclusion clauses for funding and on valuation uplift exercises.
Acting for both funders and borrowers has allowed me to develop a commercial approach to achieve cost-effectiveness and avoid delays.
