  • We’re excited to introduce the next episode in our ‘Pensions Not Podcasts’ series. Through quick and easily digestible quarterly updates, we’ll keep you informed about the latest developments in the world of pensions. Feel free to reach out to Nigel Bolton, our Head of Pensions, if you have any questions about any of the topics covered.

Within this episode, Nigel Bolton and Lucy Bagnall, Associate Director at PD Tax Consultants Limited, discuss the lifetime allowance which was introduced in 2006. It was promoted as a mechanism, limiting the amount of tax relief that you could obtain, when you made contributions into your pensions scheme. The original limit was 1.5 million per year and it’s now just over 1 million. There are several points to think about, which Nigel and Lucy cover.
