• I am a specialist in clinical negligence and medical malpractice and I have gained experience in defending a broad range of claims on behalf of NHS Resolution, acting mainly on behalf of NHS trusts in the South West. My work covers defending medical malpractice claims on behalf of medical practitioners, independent healthcare providers and their Insurers, as well as clinical negligence matters brought against NHS bodies. I have a varied caseload including high value and complex matters involving cerebral palsy, Erb's palsy, neurological, surgical, oncological, orthopaedic and amputation claims.

I have carried out secondments at the NHS Litigation Authority which enabled me to build relationships and better understand my client's needs. I also supervise the team's trainee.

I joined the Clinical Risk Department at Bevan Brittan in February 2013, having  trained at Henmans LLP and then joining DAC Beachcroft LLP on qualification in September 2001.  Prior to joining Bevan Brittan, the majority of my workload involved defending personal injury matters on behalf of major Insurers and their Corporate Insureds.
