• I am a planning lawyer with over 20 years’ experience advising on planning, compulsory purchase and highway related issues. This includes planning appeals and inquiries, judicial review and statutory challenge proceedings, drafting and negotiating statutory agreements, environmental impact assessment and local and neighbourhood plan examinations.

    I act for public and private sector clients including local authorities, land owners, promoters and developers. I have considerable experience advising on major residential, retail and mixed use development and regeneration projects. My residential development practice includes affordable housing, student accommodation and the later living sector.  

    I also specialise in setting up schemes for environmental mitigation including biodiversity net gain and nutrient neutrality.

    I have authored articles on planning matters in Estates Gazette, Property Law Journal, Property in Practice and Housebuilder on subjects including nutrient neutrality, planning reform, The Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013, and CIL.

    I have also spoken at industry conferences including Planning for Housing, LDPF and the Planning Resource webinar on nutrient neutrality.
