• I specialise in housing management and have over 18 years’ experience in the social housing sector. I act for both registered and non-registered providers, and additionally advise a number of private letting agencies, managing private housing portfolios. I advise clients on all housing related issues, including possession, disrepair/private EPA prosecutions, succession, tenancy fraud, anti-social behaviour, and other general breaches of tenancy or contentious housing issues.

I work closely with a number of social landlords and local authorities, and I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience on the practicalities of implementing legislation and policy. I additionally provide training for clients on key updates in housing legislation in a fast changing sector.

I have experience in dealing with largescale possession actions concerning unauthorised occupation, and to assist in the recovery of land where development and regeneration are needed.

    • Cat Hill Redevelopment - I acted on behalf of a housing association to recover possession of a former university campus, which had been earmarked for redevelopment. Planning permission had been given by the Local Authority to build over 200 new homes, however the land was subsequently occupied by trespassers and other environmental activists. Despite local opposition, the housing association successfully obtained a possession order of the entire site and were able to recover possession of the land expeditiously, and in order for the redevelopment works to commence.
