Bevan Brittan is celebrating its fifth award win of the year after it was named Large Law Firm of the Year (Over 20 Partners) at the Bristol Law Society Awards 2021.
The accolade reflects the firm’s ongoing market-leading support for clients within housing; local government; healthcare, including the support to set up Nightingale Hospitals; construction and energy & resource management during the pandemic, plus more broadly the active role it plays in supporting the city’s dynamic business community.
The win continues the firm’s impressive recent awards track record, having been recognised and winning Law Firm of the Year at the Bristol Property Awards, Insider South West Property Awards and Bristol Life Awards – where judges acknowledged that Bevan Brittan is 'developing as one of the UK’s finest law firms’.
Partner and Head of Bevan Brittan’s Bristol Office, Rosemary Jago, said:
“We are over the moon to pick up another prestigious award, following hot on the heels of our recent Bristol Life Awards win. This consistent recognition is no coincidence; throughout a year like no other during the pandemic, our support for our clients across the UK continued uninterrupted as our legal and support teams stepped up to ensure clients had all they needed to navigate so many unforeseen challenges. We take pride in forming lasting relationships and work together with clients, not just for them.
“Beyond purely legal and advisory work, we play an active role in the wider Bristol business community. Over the past year, we have hosted webinars for local community groups the Black South West Network (BSWN) and Bristol Food Union, donated £10,000 to local charity St Peter’s Hospice and supported the city’s Festival of Sustainable Business.
“This latest award win, which is testament to the continued commitment and resilience of our colleagues across the firm, only reinforces our desire to keep developing the ways in which we support clients, community groups and initiatives within Bristol and our office locations nationally.”
This latest positive news for Bevan Brittan comes during a strong phase of growth across the business, which is actively seeking to recruit the best legal talent and in the last 12 months has added eight new partners, including property finance expert Jessica Church in its Bristol office.
In the latest Legal 500 2022 directory rankings released last month, the firm recorded its strongest rankings to date, with Construction, Employment, Local Government and Social Housing ranked among its 13 Top Tier practice areas.
