Bevan Brittan’s Higher Education Team has been named as finalists in the EducationInvestor Awards in the ‘Legal Advisor – to Education Institutions’ category.

For over 10 years the awards have been celebrating the very best in education across legal, advisory and finance, education provision and software & services.

Bevan Brittan’s Higher Education Team has an exceptional, multi-disciplinary, growing team of education lawyers, including 10 partners and over 40 lawyers. The Team specialises in providing corporate and commercial, litigation, regulatory, employment and immigration, construction, property and finance legal advice to both public and private education institutions.

The Team supports a national client base comprising Russell Group universities, newer (post-92) universities, further education colleges, schools, education regulators and, most recently, private providers.

Rachel Soundy, Partner from the firm’s Higher Education Team said:

“The nomination is fantastic achievement and reflective of our continued growth and commitment to deliver commercially-focused legal advice with client services at its heart.

We’ve had a busy year and have continued to recruit education lawyers to complement our existing expert education team. Over the last year we have appointed Elizabeth Dunford, a technology and data protection lawyer joining from Coventry University; Sarah Court-Brown, a public lawyer with previous experience of working with awarding bodies, research organisations and (historically) HEFCE; and Louise Mansfield a Legal Director who specialises in health and safety and criminal regulatory law.

The Team also holds a position on the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) framework in the one-stop shop category, which enables a wider range of universities to appoint us.”

Winners will be announced on 14 June 2023 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
