In our 2022 article Multi-property wayleave requests we discuss how operators and owners are wanting to deal with the legal aspect of multi-property wayleave requests more quickly and efficiently.
With our telecommunication expertise at Bevan Brittan, not only do we have the experience of dealing with a variety of bespoke bulk and individual wayleave requests, we also offer clients an opportunity to streamline multiple provider requests.
We understand the administrative difficulty of keeping up with multiple wayleave requests received from different providers asking you to sign up to telecommunication installations across your property portfolio. We equally appreciate the operator friendly provisions in The Electronic Communications Code, especially when requests are not responded to in a certain period of time. We have therefore created a streamlined process that takes requests off of your ‘desk’ by dealing directly on your behalf. We do this by:
- Having requests come straight to us
- Requesting legal costs from the provider (subject to agreement);
- Taking forward the negotiation and completion of wayleave agreements; and
- Offering an online business management software that allows us to manage and keep you up to date on individual case files/properties.
This process takes the administrative burden of multiple wayleave agreement requests away from our clients. Once we agree a wayleave agreement with a particular provider (ensuring everything you need is included within it), we then use this as a precedent going forward to make the process of entering into further agreements with that particular provider more efficient and streamlined. This not only speeds up negotiations and therefore reduces costs but also means that your property portfolio and interests are consistently and sufficiently protected.
