Bevan Brittan is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for Legal Firm of the Year at the Bristol Life Awards 2020.

The Bristol Life Awards celebrate ‘the best of Bristol’, bringing together its vibrant business, civic and third sector communities and providing recognition for excellence and innovation.

Bevan Brittan employs over 250 people in Bristol and is proud to play an active role in the business life of the city. The firm provides legal advice to clients across a range of sectors, such as Housing, Healthcare, Local Government, Energy & Sustainability, Financial Services and Manufacturing, delivering innovative commercial legal solutions that are carefully tailored to clients’ needs.

The firm also places significant emphasis on supporting Bristol’s thriving business community and wider groups in other ways and in 2019 supported:

  • The Bristol Housing Festival, for the second year running
  • The Bristol Life Business Club lunches
  • The city’s inaugural Festival of Sustainable Business, delivering the Sustainable Construction workshop
  • One HealthTech Bristol, a volunteer-led grassroots community that supports women and other under-represented groups to be future leaders in digital health.

Rosemary Jago, partner at Bevan Brittan and Head of the Bristol office, said:

“We are thrilled to be a finalist at the Bristol Life Awards. We are proud of the role we play in the business and community life of the city, and to be able to support our clients and other organisations in many different ways. For instance, we donated over £6,000 last year to the Bristol office’s chosen charity, St Peter’s Hospice, through a mixture of staff fundraising activities and a donation at Christmas, reflecting the culture of giving that runs throughout the firm.

“We look forward to what is sure to be a fantastic awards evening that will bring together so many thriving local businesses and organisations.”

The Bristol Life Awards will be held on 23 April 2020.
